  15. I am having a problem with MS-DOS Kermit 3.14 patch level 9 running on an
  16. AT&T Globalyst 200S laptop with an AT&T Keep-In-Touch 28.8K data/fax 
  17. pcmcia modem (model 3765-B1-261 A)

  19. The problem is that characters arriving from the other end of the connection
  20. seem to get "stuck" in a buffer somwhere and don't appear on my screen until
  21. additional characters arrive to "push" them out.

  23. For example, I usually connect to Unix workstations. If my shell prompt
  24. is set to "\home\jeff: "  on my screen will appear:

  26. \home\j
  27.  
  28. If I press return, then the "eff: " will come out on the screen followed by
  29. another "\home\j" Essentially, the last few characters always stuck inside
  30. the modem (or kermit) instead of being displayed.

  32. Kermit identifies the modem as COM2, Port \x2F8, IRQ3, 16550A

  35. Other DOS comm packages don't exhibit this problem with my modem. I have
  36. borrowed a different brand of modem and tried it, and it did work ok with
  37. kermit. So it appears to be a compatibility problem between kermit and my
  38. modem. Unfortunately, it is too late to return my modem 8-(
